In Colorado, UNC offers best undergraduate theatre program

GREELEY – The University of Northern Colorado cast a net from Greeley to England to New Zealand to become what is believed to be the largest undergraduate-only theatre program in the United States. Biggest does not always mean best, but in this case it does: UNC offers the best undergraduate theatre program in Colorado. That’s the opinion of a Denver Post panel of eight impartial observers, not to mention just about any partial observer you might ask…

“There is no question that UNC is No. 1, and has been for a long time,” said Bill Perry, an Alliance for Colorado Theatre board member and 32-year high school director at Regis, Alameda and Pomona. “I know it’s where a majority of drama teachers send their kids.”…

There are many reasons UNC is the best theatre school In Colorado, starting with its degrees in eight separate emphases. And production values displayed in recent shows have surpassed some professional companies.
