STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO AUDITION AND/OR
INTERVIEW FOR ENTRANCE INTO ALL DEGREE PROGRAMS
THEATRE ARTS PROGRAM
(Please note: No Special application form is required for the Theatre Arts Program)

• Saturday, March 8, 2014; 1:00-5:00 pm (Acting only)
||In addition to a resume and two letters of recommendation:
||Prepare a 2 minute monologue of your choice.
||15 minute interview, plus design resume & portfolio
presentation (if available), and a copy of high school transcript
15 minute interview and review of academic record, including grade point average.
||A 300 word typewritten essay, describing why you would be interested in pursuing a theatre degree. Students accepted to this program must maintain a 3.00 grade point average at UNC.
MUSICAL THEATRE PROGRAM
A separate admission application form, resume, and two letters of recommendation and audition are required for entrance into the Musical Theatre degree programs.

Audition Requirements for Program/Talent Scholarship: (1) prepare 16-32 bars each from two songs of your choice (at least one piece must be musical theatre); and (2) prepare a 30-second to one minute monologue. Optional: If you are a dancer, you may include a short dance in your allotted audition time. Please Note: Your maximum time limit for your audition is 4 minutes. An accompanist will be provided.
* You may also audition for the School of Music Vocal Performance Program on this date.
Please Note: Musical Theatre will also audition during the National Unified Auditions in New York (January 24-25, 2014 at Pearl Studios, 500 8th Ave) and Chicago (February 3-4, 2014 at Palmer House Hilton, 17 E.
