Materials from the 4th annual Leadership Institute for Education In and Through the Arts

Featured Speakers:

Dr. Adele Diamond, University of British Columbia, Lab Director of the Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory.

"What neuroscientist Adele Diamond is learning about the brain is turning some of our most modern ideas about education on their heads. Her work is scientifically illustrating the educational power of things like play, sports, music, memorization and reflection. What nourishes the human spirit, the whole person, it turns out, also hones our minds."
- Learning, Doing and Being: A Science of Education

He received the National Research Award in 1993 and the National Service Award in 2001 from the American Music Therapy Association. He has over 120 scientific publications and has authored and coauthored 3 books.”
