Colorado Advocacy Organizations & program Resources

Arts for Colorado:
Arts for Colorado is a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the climate for culture throughout the state. Because public sector funding--and particularly state arts funding--has played an important role in building Colorado's cultural infrastructure, Arts for Colorado focuses much of its attention on the preservation and expansion of state arts support. Telephone: C/o Western States Arts Federation at (303) 629-1166. http://www.artsforcolorado.org/home.php

Arts Learning Task Force:
In November 2006, the Colorado Council on the Arts convened an Arts
Learning Task Force
charged with developing a vision for arts learning and
drafting policy recommendations for the agency’s role. Task Force members
were chosen to represent a broad constituency of influence: educators,
school, district and state education administrators, legislators, higher
education, the state board of education, business leaders, foundation
directors, municipal and youth service agencies, parents, artist, arts
advocates and arts education managers.
